Renewing Your Certification

Post Tensioning Ironworker Certification credentials are valid for a three year period. In order to renew your certification you must complete the renewal process within one year of your expiration date. You may submit the paperwork for renewal as early as one year prior to expiration. If you fail to complete the renewal process within one year of expiration you will be required to re-take and pass the certificaiton exam again.
 
Renewal
 
The renewal process requires you to earn 24 Credits in Continuing Education and Industry Involvement. Credits are earned for working on post-tensionin in the field (1 credit for every 35 hours spent actually working on post-tensioning), attending classes or seminars on post-tensioning (1 credit for each hour spent in class), and for teaching classes or seminars on post-tensioning (1 credit for each hour taught). You will also be required to agree to any new policies that may have been adopted since you were last certified.
 
You must complete a renewal application and submit it along with evidence supporting the Credits being claimed.

Recertification

If you fail to renew within one year of your expiration date, you must re-certify by completing the renewal form and passing the current certification exam. Call 602-635-3774 to find a test date and location.
