Post Tensioning Ironworker Certifications Passes 3000 Mark (9/18/2009)

In its first 3 years of operation, the program has certified more than 3000 people throughout the United States and Canada.
Phoenix, AZ - Evaluation and Certification Services, LLC (ECS) has announced that its Post Tensioning Ironworker Certification Program has now certified over 3000 people throughout the United States and Canada. The program includes certification for individuals in both unbonded and bonded post-tensioning. ECS reports that there is a large concentration of certified personnel in the East and Mid-West, with a growing population along the West-Coast.

"We are seeing more public agencies require the certification program as a means to prequalify the personnel working on their projects", stated Jim Rogers, Managing Director of ECS. "Entities like the Port Authority of Washington, and the Ohio Department of Transportation, have required certification on their recent projects and contractors have been using the Post Tensioning Ironworker Certification Program to satisfy those requirements to use only qualified personnel on the job."

Individuals who obtain this certification have completed rigorous training in formal programs which have been approved for college level credit, and have passed an exam which tests their knowledge in all aspects of the trade, including theory, installation, stressing, grouting, and plan reading.
