Phoenix, AZ - Certification credentials issued under the Post Tensioning Ironworker Certification Program are valid for a period of three years. After that, and individual must submit an application for renewal showing evidence of continued education and industry involvement. The first group of people certified three years ago when the program began have started to send in their renewal applications and ECS has now processed and renewed several dozen certifications.
"There are about 500 people whose certification credentials will expire in 2009. The fact that many of them have already recognized this and started to send in their paperwork to get renewed shows the continuing stability of the program," stated Jim Rogers, Managing Director of the certification program.
Individuals must renew their certifications with one year of expiration or face starting the certification process over again. The renewal process is meant to help ensure that a person's knowledge of the industry is current. For more information on the renewal requirements, go to
